Eb tubas are easily as popular as the other pitched tubas in all the countries which have a tradition of the British Style Brass Band...Australia, New Zealand... probably most other former British colonies, or places where the sport of cricket appreciated :-) And plenty of pros play them too !
I would have thought they were VERY rare in the United States, but from reading TubeNet, I know there's an Eb brethren there as well (albeit small).
