I did a bit of research on this myself, I my conclusion was that for a true flight case, it would be best to bite the bullet and get a Walter Johnson case. These are made with methods and materials beyond the average home workshop, and with their guarentee, I felt that would be the best route to go. I didn't get one because I don't need a flight case.
