You don't NEED to spend $10,000 for a good CC tuba. Look into these models:
Mirafone 186-5U or its big brother 188-5U
Rudolph Meinl 4/4
Perantucci (B&S) 4/4 (piston OR rotory)
Cerveny CC's
VMI's (which are essentiall the same as B&S, Perantucci)
These can be had for ALOT less than $10K Good luck, and let us know what you decided.
