In the past I played a bit of trumpet and trombone before getting serious about guitar
and double bass. Now I have two kids playing cornet and trombone. I would like to play
with them to try to make practice fun and share in their struggles. I am thinking of getting an old tuba and trying to learn how to play it well enough to keep up with them.
What key tuba should I get? How much should I pay for a beat-up but playable tuba? What
should I look out for?
