When I first started sight singing, back in high school, I used the Robert Ottman "Music for Sight Singing" book. In fact I still use it in college for my music skills class. It starts out pretty easy outlining the tonic triad and the dominant in the major key, then it approaches both triads in the minor. It's an all around good book. From very easy to very advanced. Many keys, many meters, many rhythm groups. Towards the end of the book is 20th century harmonies and melodies. In otherwords, you will read church modes, i.e. Phrygian and Mixolydian, atonal music, you name it, it's in this book. As for computer games, I know there is a very quality program on the market, its name escapes me right now. Hopefully I will remember it, because I too would like to invest in a program like that. Hope this helps.
