There are, indeed, a handful of great "low etude" books. What made the Fink so useful is that the 100% of the time. The Snedecor and Jones are fantastic, and especially great for developing flexability between the registers. The finks are great because your brain gets fixed on the lower techniques and has uninterrupted time to assimilate them. IMHO.
