Let me repeat that I don't think Hirsbrunner Kid is spoiled. He's a fine player and a nice kid, and I enjoy playing next to him. I don't think he is unappreciative at all, though I think he doesn't realize how hard it is for most folks to be in his position. And I don't define "rich." One man's idea of being rich is the poorhouse for someone else, and there are many folks who look on me as rich.
Mostly, I wanted to tell a story that would make the younger folks on this forum think about what they have, and the parents think about their role in supplying their kids with really expensive stuff. Judging from the responses, I have succeeded. The last think I want to do is diminish the abilities of the kids out there who work really hard to be their best.
