I also play a Yamaha 822 and I love the horn. I go to school at LSU and the studio just bought a Mienl Weston 45SLP and this particular one doesn't even compare but I have heard great things about the horn so I think we just got a bad one. Also I have heard good things about the Willson F tuba but it is rather pricey. Good luck in your search.
