Greetings, all!!

Well, we're near the end of what could be the absolutely best thing to happen to amateur
tubists looking for GOOD music written by at GREAT composer. The commissioning
project which James Grant has agreed to do for us is in perilous danger of falling through.

The cost of this project, per person, is $60. Now, this may seem a little steep, but what you get in return is 4 (yes, four) all new works for tuba. (3 tuba and piano, 1 unaccompanied) That's only $15 bucks per tune.

"How does this affect me?" you might ask. Well, with all this talk about the most important tubists, etc., realize that they all wound up dipping into their own pockets (esp. Phillips) to have new and exciting works written for tuba. Most of these require great technique, range, etc. Jim Grant (who has written 3 great works for tuba, all of them recognized as valuable works--again, relying on that great technique, range etc.,) has agreed (upon my and others' urging) to write works for the tubist who loves to perform, but doesn't have the time to maintain that "great technique, range, etc.". This music will be appropriate for H.S., amateur, and young college tubists.

He needs about 30-40 more folks to sign up for this to make it economically feasible for him to do this. He does NOT work for a university, etc. His income is purely from commissions, and the like. He needs to know you are interested--NOW (not next week)

PLEASE support the forwarding of your instrument by signing up for this project. This may
very well be the LAST time something like this comes our way if we don't.

Thanks for your consideration--
