The older style of satin silver (with a lower concentration of dots, buffed prior to being blasted, and very heavily silver plated) is GREAT to fix. Wonderboy-buffer and I just yanked an Elkhart satin 20K in half a few weeks ago, took out every last dent, and soldered it back together without a trace...

...I wouldn't want to try to completely undent one "without a trace" on one of the "new-style" (total penetration) blast jobs with thin plating, though.
