Mine shattered once during travel. It was very cold outside at the time though. I won't put my own horn in anything but an anvil case for flying, but I'll take an Army horn or a school horn in a Besson case. They're okay, but only for horns that are insured or viewed as replaceable. I don't view my own horn as replaceable, so I won't do it.
