Take a look at the student body, too.
I know of at least one seemingly great school mentioned below that I would not go near because of the student attitudes there. Talk to the professors of OTHER studios at those schools(and students in OTHER studios, or even OTHER majors at those schools) to get an idea of the student attitudes. I, myself, spent one year at a school with a great teacher, but with a good dozen other tubists who all thought they could blow circles around Gene Pokorny. While a good teacher is important, an enjoyable environment is equally neccessary.
