Take your time adjusting to a larger mpc, David. It won't happen over night, man. Continue to practice on normal warmup routine stuff, (ie, long tones, slurs, scales in legato, Remmington stuff) everyday until you become comfortable in all registers. Also, I have my students spend at least a half hour to an hour a day just on the mouthpiece alone. Buzz scales, tunes out of your exercise books, checking pitch frequently, using lots of air and musicality. Remember, the tuba is just an amplifier of what's coming out of the mouthpiece. Mouthpiece practice is everything, (my opinion). Be patient and good luck.
