Now that you mention it, the wax mouthpiece on my didjeridu has been compressed from playing and I wonder how that has impacted the intonation and sound? I also wonder if the blue paint gives it a brighter sound vs. the red one which has a mellower sound? Do you think that box eucalytptus is better or worse than other woods? :-)
Actually, I find that different tubas are as much works of art as my didjeridus, which I mainly bought because I liked the way they looked. I enjoy reading the various discussions of tuba design, quality, playing characteristics, etc..
