Matt had U.M.I. fab up a new FOUR-valve short-action (you know, 20K sousa parts) valve-set that he put on a very old Conn bod that he cut to CC. It is a nice tuba.

I would enjoy "just" doing tuba stuff, but I have to constantly sling out trumpets and trombones ("cheap-shiny-decent" for rent and "nicey-nice" for sale) along with some french horns.

Bufferboy sure is gettin' really good at using the dent machine...I'm TRYIN' to get him to drop out of college so he and I can crank out some neat tubas for sale, but I don't think its gonna happen. (ie: If he could do the nuts-and-bolts stuff, I might be able to run my store and still "do" a few neat tubas.)
