quicker pickier notte: the Hindenburg was designed to be fueled by helium because helium is inert and thus can't explode, but at the time, the only people with enough helium to fill it was the USA and due to the remilitarization of Germany, the USA didn't want to sell any helium to Germany, thus the hindenburg was filled with hydrogen. its very simple:
hydorgen= big boom
helium= inert, no boom
