Nope, after screwing up in my original post I went to my part library and looked at the full parts for all these operas (and some others). They are all scored for Trombone Basso. The only Puccini opera that I have a part for that is scored for tuba is Manon Lescaut. Now what is traditionally used in performance by the player is a completely different story. All I'm talking about is what is printed on the part where it lists what instrument the part is for.
