Ya, I noticed that too. The Nirschl is more squat while the Yorkbrunner is indeed taller. Personally, I don't care which one is a more accurate physical reproduction of the original. I prefer the Yorkbrunner because I like what it allows me to do better than what the Nirschl does. It really is a personal choice. The Hirsbrunner copy started out as a copy and evolved into what I believe to be the better overall instrument. Maybe it should be called a Yorkinspiredbrunner instead.

Then again, what does a guy who makes a living off of playing Sousaphone really know anyways?
