Aren't you the lady from Arizona that posted recently? I always thought there were some pretty great tuba (and other brass) players down your way. The music programs at UA and at State have good reputations. Sam Pilafian had some connection down there if I recall correctly. Tucson has a professional symphony. Who is the tubist there? Doesn't Phoenix have a pro orchestra, also? Unless you live out in the desert, I would think you should be able to connect with the low brass world somewhere in your state.
