I am in Nashville TN (about two miles from Ike H) and make my living as a Procurement Specialist (Sr Buyer for those who speak english) specialising in fixed assets at LifeWay, a large religious publisher with bookstores throughout the Southeast, South and Southwest.
I've been playing for about 20 years and have studied under Sande MacMorran at UT Knoxville and Joe Ray at Carson-Newman (like anyone has heard of either of them). I have a B.S. in Information Systems and Management and play tuba for pure enjoyment at First Baptist Nashville and here in our group at work. I also enjoy digging through Ike's mouthpiece collection and drooling over his collection of instruments.
You can learn a lot from this forum even if you choose not to major in music... my advice would be that you never set the horn down, there will be playing opportunities after you graduate.
