Greetings, all!

It was good to see many of you at last week's Army Conference. What a great, great thing they do each and every year.

Now, it's time for the final countdown to ITEC 2002. You've seen the posts Bart Collins has put up--things are coming together--it's going to be wall to wall tubas/euphoniums for about 6 days. (competitions start a day ahead....)
We've done everything we can to try and make this an enjoyable conference, with something for just about everyone. There are reading sessions, and the LowBlowers ensemble for amatuers, there are specific meetings for student members, there are sessions on electronic music, classes on different aspects of jazz playing, large ensemble concerts, small ensemble concerts, college ensembles, amatuer ensembles, orchestral sessions, euphonium specific sessions, I could go on and on....

At any rate, here's the deal: these things aren't cheap to put together. An extremely high percentage of our proposed budget will come from registrations. This is not a plea for donations or anything like that--merely, a reminder that the early bird deadline for registration for the conference is 2 weeks away--February 15. IF you think you are going to come, go ahead and make your decision. Pay the lower fee now, and not have to worry about it later. (unless, of course, you enjoy the idea of two conference planners getting absolutely NO sleep for the next 5 months.....I mean really, have a heart.....)

All information can be found at www.itec2002.org--whatever you don't find there, contact us at itec2002(AT)uncg.edu

Thanks!

Dennis
