Thanks for replying. The Sander F that I have appears to be at least 70 years old and possibly more. It is equipped with trommelwork, (clockspring) style rotary valves (not slanted) and a traditional right hand tuning slide. You pull the tuning slide sideways, not downwards. The horn is very light and I believe that the rotors are hollow. The 4th valve is set up as a 1-3 and not a 2-3 as some German horns were and the only number that appears is a 3 that is engraved on each rotor cap. The name Sander Kaiserslautern is engraved on the bell. Also, the engraving is "upside down"; you can read it when the tuba is sitting on its' bell. The picture is probably still available if you do a search of recently completed items on that certain 4-letter auction site.
