I am rather small and have a small hand (and older, too). I am struggling with a mild carpal-tunnel thing which I believe is caused by the too-large-a-reach of my Meinl-Weston 2145 for my small hand. I have never used the thumb ring, so I rest my thumb on top for access to the fifth lever, and I can reach the other vavlves. I love the way it plays. I have played Piggy's, Hirschbrunners, etc, am no longer doing pro symphony, but still enjoy playing quintets, brass ensembles, community bands and orchs, so I don't need a big tuba, just a good one. Anyone know of a nice 3/4 or 4/4 that plays well and has a nice small reach with close together, easy to press valves? Rotary is ok, too. I had a Yamaha 621 - no thanks. Appreciate any advice. Thanks!
