Hmm.. 'pinchy sound'.. ;b Can you buzz that note on your mouthpiece? With a big full buzzy sound? If you can't buzz it playing it will always be a crapshoot.

Token exercise for your practicing pleasure:
Find a comfortable note in the money register to buzz -matching pitches with a piano. G at the bottom of the staff works well for most folks. Glissando from G to Ab and back, then G to A and back, then G to Bb.. etc. Expand upward as for as you can go. Always strive for your absolute best buzz(Buzz is always good ;b) and a slow smooth glissando that covers every possible microtonal pitch between your two target notes. Once you've exhausted your upper range repeat excercise going down. Do this diligently for ten minutes each day and chase your high Gb blues away. :)

Randy's advice to play scales and arpegios up into that range is also very sound.
