"Do like everyone else and get the Arban's Method book for trombone."
I don't know one tuba player using the trombone book. I know many who use the trumpet book (to be fair with Bruce my exposure is to tuba players is mainly University and pro players and not so much to young school players). As many tuba players started on trumpet, this book is a natural. It is also helpful to keep treble reading sharp as more opportunitites are available for those who read treble clef (brass band, solos and liturature from other instruments, fake books, etc). Bobo's books are written in treble clef for a reason, and I'm sure it was not to limit is appeal.

If you do not read treble cleff, this book is a great way to pick it up.
