I'm not trying to start anything here, but I'm posting here in case say someone on this board was in the market...so they won't have a bias against finale because someone thinks it's not as good.....by saying that I like finale better. IMO, the only thing sibelius ever had on finale is neuratron (sp?) photoscore, where you can scan in music and it converts it to a file, which is 95% accurate. Now you can get a program with finale called sharpeye that is 99.9% accurate. Also it's integrated with all the other coda software, such as smartmusic studio, which is solo accompaniment software that even follows you. (trust me, it's good....I even used it on my brevard tape as accompaniment 2 years ago) It now lets you save to .VIV which is a smartmusic accompaniment file. With a scanner, finale 2002 and sharpeye, and the piano score to a solo, you can have accompaniment in about 15 minutes.
