I am sometimes complimented for my "time", but I know that it is not good. That's why I use a metronome whenever I practice. The exception being the last few run-throughs of some sort of concerto, solo, etc., as I know there will be no metronome onstage.

Good time? Good pitch? whatever.

(Both of these senses are constant recalibrations, unless one is incredibly silly about overestimating their cababilities.)
