Wish I could claim that I came up with this... BUT... it works so well that I have to give credit where credit is due.

My applied instructor made a "breathing bag" from a 13 gallon trash bag, a 1/2 diameter hose and a rubber band. Take the hose (about 6 inches) and wrap the bag around it, then secure it with the rubber band. Have your student do some breathing exercise in and out of the bag (breathe in for 6 counts, hold for 6, and then out for 6 kinda stuff (AT)different tempos). It increased my (previously 2 pack a day, nicotene and smoke filled lungs)from about a liter and half to just over 4L in about 3 months. If they work on it for 8-10 mins a day it should work.

If that doesn't work, maybe a smaller diameter horn or smaller backbore Mp??

Man do I wish I could claim that...
