I know it's not the dictionary definition, but ive been in a band that has made music only twice. the first time was this christmas, playing "salvation is created" and the second was at JanFest playing Carmen Dragon's America the Beautiful". There is a connection between the audience, performer, and sounds that must be made in order for me to classify a work as musical.
