Yes, the Wick metal mute is a great mute. Expensive, but a good mute. It does, however, give that bright, live sound of a metal mute. If you want a real 'muted' sound, I suggest a Humes and Berg fibre mute which is very inexpensive and really out of tune or, my personal favorite mute of all time, the N.P. Griffin or Griffith. I forget. Great mutes with great intonation. Just my 2 cents though. They run around $70 I believe. Hope this helps!
