How does signing your email "Mike" make you non-anonymous? I don't see an email or a last name here. Might as well call yourself "A Guy in Indiana".
Hank had a good suggestion to go with a consignment agreement with a dealer. You might not hit the ebay jackpot and be the beneficiary of a bidding war, but you will get (sooner or later) a fair price for your tuba, and not have to worry if you will end up being paid or not.
