I tried the 4/4 Kalison, and i was really impressed. the horn put out a ton of sound, especially in the low register, until the tuba exchange guy took the horn away from me when he decided that i had had enough. jerk. i feel like it deserves to be on the 'best CC horn for the rest of us' list, even if tuba exchange sales reps don't. others on the list are the PT-20 and PT-6, but i didn't like the Willson DEG brought. the thing was a tank, but it didn't slot right.
my favorite CC was the HB-21, which is why i bought one, but i didn't play on any F's that i really liked. maybe it was just me, but i didn't find an 'all around' F. the PT-10 was great high, but not low, the HB didn't seem to respond quite right, and the willson was sort of a split difference. did anyone else think this?
