Ludas is a great piece. Depending on the level of players as you mentioned I think it might be a bit to difficult, but you never know. I am a member of the new tuba/euph ensemble TUBIUM here in Japan and we are doing it on a concert in April. The hardest part is getting all the entrances lined up.
Not sure if anyone will be around(not likely) but I will post the concert info anyways.
TUBIUM- new tuba/euph ensemble(first concert!)- members are professional Japanese players and myself an American tuba player.
April 2nd- 7pm- Hashimoto Mori No Hall
Program consisits of new works by Japanese composer Akira Toda, Berlioz, Wagner arrangements and others. Should be a great show. By the way, it is a six man ensemble.
