FOR SALE: For sale: C.G. Conn 3/4 size Eb tuba in good overall condition and in very good playing condition. From about 1960 (serial #818251), this is a lacquered instrument (80% or better is intact) that has three valves and accepts a small shank mouthpiece (which is not included). There are small dents and dings (particularly on the bottom bow), but nothing that affects the sound. There is also evidence of past repairs (the leadpipe was lowered at some point). All of the tuning slides are functional and the valves are in good shape. A case is not included. This a nice sounding horn that plays in pretty good tune (I play it with a Denis Wick #3 mouthpiece). I needed something larger for my community band. I would prefer a buyer in the New York City metropolitan area to avoid having to ship the horn (I can deliver or meet 1/2 way). $650 or trade for a 3 valve compensating English baritone of comparable value.
