Right after I moved to D.C., a bass-trombonist friend from
North Texas called and said he was coming to College Park
with the Buddy Rich Band. After the gig, (which was Great!),
we were hangin' out by the bus and Mr. Rich appeared suddenly
and told me to:
"GET THE F*** OUTTA MY WAY"
and then proceeded to berate each band member, one by one.
If I hadn't of heard it myself, I might not have believed it.
(And that's why I'm happy to have the tape ....)
