To all our TEXAS buddies... thought I would forward this MIRAPHONE invitation to the Modern Jazz Tuba Project performance next Friday at the TMEA in San Antonio. The performance is at 5 pm in the Conference Center room CC217. We would sure like to see any of you that can join us. We're bringing our own sound man and equipment so we don't have to take a chance on the conference sound people.
Also bringing our BRAND NEW recording, FAVORITE THINGS, along with our featured vocalist: Connye Florance. A double special treat will be our main man from LA, Mr. Jim Self, who will be sitting in with us on this performance. If you remember the famous TUBAJAZZ CONSORT with Rich and Harvey, then you have an IDEA about what MJT is all about. BUT, you have to hear it to believe it... If you're going to be in town earlier in the day we will be rehearsing across the street at a local church thanks to Lee Hipp who made this contact for us. If you want to drop in on the rehearsal, let me know and I'll send you the address. You can also check us out on the web page listed below...
Both CD's will be selling at International Musical Suppliers at the bottom of the escalator.
