I dunno, do pros lose sight of the performances and fun, is it just a job to them? I attended the BSO performance of Beet 9 and it was great, Shaw guest conducted. I watched the performers leaving before most of the audience was gone. I was riding high I loved it, they went home. As a musician after that performance I'd want to be at a bar with the rest of the brass section reflecting on a great performance! To simply go home to "Friends" on TV or something is a shame.
I will never be able to experience great works of perfection in that way. I wonder how many pro's wish they were accountants.
As for the mpc. horn thing, I'm sure that Mr. Jacobs could play better than most of us on a high school Sousa and any mpc.
I only wish!
