In a very real sense a real euphonium is a 6/4 sized instrument compared to an English bore baritone. They are both conical bore instruments in b flat differing only in the bore, and rate of flair of the bell and branchs, but basically the same design. Much as 3/4 and 6/4 tubas differ.
