Years ago I saw the Dukes perform with a helicon playing the bass part. As I recall the bell had almost no flare to it, sort of a conical expansion with about a two inch lip at the terminus. I haven't seen a horn like that since (30+ years). Got any ideas who might have produced such a beast?
