There is SAE 30 and SAE 40 and probably SAE 50. Oils do not come in wt or weight as commonly described. The W in 10 W 30 stands for winter use. You will only see this in single numbers such as 10W, 20W, and multi viscosity type oils. Engine oil is probably OK for linkage connected to rotary valves, but these motor oils contain a lot of chemicals and I would not use them on the valves. If you read the labels on the containers you will find in small print some warnings about the stuff causing cancer in rats. Hope this is some help to you.
