I have a Hirsbrunner exclusive euph. as well, and the Wick Mute along with any other mute makes my horn extremely sharp. I usually pull out the main tuning slide at least 3/4 of an inch every time I use the wick. The wick mute has an excellent sound though! Good Luck.-Aaron
