Yes, I would recommend a nice canned beer like Olympia. "It's the water" or maybe that says "It's tub water". If that type of alcohol doesn't work, try Baileys.
Actually, I'm confused. Why would you want to let alcohol (I'm assuming isopropyl alcohol) sit in your tuba? How would that benefit slow valves?
