Are you talking about pistons or valve? If you're talking about valve there is two possible solutions.

First, maybe the valve are just dirt or oxyded. So a good clean is nead. For that, I use an acid solution as we call CLR (here, Canada...). That product can be found in hardware store and it's a product that can be use to clean rust, calcium depot (bath...) etc. Just put some solution and put the valve (removed) in it for about 5 min. After, rince it well and apply some polishing metal stuff and clean the valve with it. You may have now a very clean valve. Don't forget to clean well the pin (the extremity of the valve) because that's the most place that have friction.

Also it may be the action of the valve. You may replace the springs by something better. I never kept original springs on my horns. There is many solution of kind of spring you can use.

At the end, don't forget to don't put too much oil.
