I am in Portland, Oregon for the Northwest MENC conference and had a chance to try a coupl of horn. Not much at this show to see in terms of tubas, except one great CC Besson. I played this CC non-compensating 5 valver for about a half hour and was extremely impressed. It sounded great and had a terrific low register. For those in the big 4/4 CC market, this should be a serious consideration. If I hadn't just bought a PT6 I would probably have gotten one.
