Suppose you were starting from scratch, and wanted to record:
*tuba practice sessions in a 20'x20'x8' room
*trombone/euphonium/piano audition tapes
*whatever else turns up...once the tools are in place...
What would you suggest as a replacement for the "cheapie Sony Minidisc"?
And, let's not disregard recording the final result on media to mail off to audition committees.
