I agree with Alan. No gig bag is going to provide much protection. That's not what hey are designed for. I have carried my tuba in a ProTec bag for years. I like it a lot. One of it's advantages, I think, is that it's much easier to get the horn in and out. Most of the other bags load from the top, not so easy.
