Yes, of course--Douglas Major. He recorded a nice CD with the Empire Brass a number of years ago.

As you say, the acoustic of the National Cathedral is quite something. But the real advantage to that location is that they host free, public organ recitals nearly every Sunday afternoon at 5 or 6 PM. If you get there early, you can sit in the choir loft, and the organist will talk to you. These recitals feature many visiting organists, some of whom are really outstanding. I've heard a number of recitals there during business trips when I would be staying downtown, and only fallen asleep once or twice. It's not so easy to hear the other organs, especially now that I live in the area and hate driving downtown.
