I also tested an old (mint) Conn 1 but found it very difficult to center the sound, and because of the big back bore I ran out of steam much too quickly for my liking (aside from the fact that the upper register is virtually nonexistent). However, it did sound like "Killdozer" in the bottom end!
So far, the C6 seems to work really well for me.
