The trademark "J.W. York & Sons" is now owned by WindSong Press. Yep, it's true, check with the U.S. Trademark office!

Last year we came out with York T-shirts with the full logo off a 1930's era York tuba. The idea was to have a product using this (to keep the trademark people happy) and to help fund the Arnold and Gizella Jacobs Collection. So far we have bought a new computer with a DVD writer and are in the process of converting all of the Jacobs masterclass tapes to DVD. Some of these tapes go back to 1984 and need to be converted from analog to digital media soon.

One of the problems is funding. I have no academic backing or deep corporate coffers but this is a project that needs to be done and costs money. Now that we have a computer to write DVD's, all we need are blanks and they are not cheap. Every time a York shirt is sold, we can buy DVD's to preserve Mr Jacobs' masterclasses.
