Personally my greatest frustration came from a church orchestra I played with on a regular basis. the choir octavo part was given to the bass player and he happily played all of the bass lines written for either organ or piano (or sometimes the bass vocal part). Basically, this made it so that he played every measure of music whether or not the composer had a bass line written in the score. Not to mention, he was put through the P.A. system while I had to sit there and deal with a choir director that told me I should just blend in with the bass - kinda hard to do when the only thing people can hear is the e. bass. As a result, I happily no longer play with them.
